Merapi Meletus

YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Gunung Merapi meletus pukul 17.02 WIB, Selasa (26/10/2010). Semburan awan panas mencapai ketinggian 1,5 kilometer. Hingga kini, warga di sekitar lereng Merapi sedang dievakuasi untuk menghindari hujan abu yang panas.

Kepala Balai Penyelidikan dan Pengembangan Teknologi Kegunungapian (BPPTK) Subandriyo dan Kepala Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi Surono menyebut proses ini adalah awal dari erupsi atau letusan. "Awal erupsi terjadi pukul 17.02 WIB," tegas Subandrio kepada Tribunnews.com saat dihubungi dari Jakarta.

Erupsi adalah bahasa ilmiah meletus. Surono juga menjelaskan bahwa erupsi terjadi dua kali, yakni pukul 17.02 WIB dan 17.23 WIB.

Menurut laporan warga yang berada di lereng selatan, sempat terdengar suara letusan. Warga selanjutnya hanya bisa melihat asap tebal hitam sangat tinggi. "Awan panas mencapai 1,5 kilometer tingginya," tegas Surono.

Saat ini proses evakuasi terus berjalan. Hujan abu hingga pukul 20.00 WIB terus terjadi. Hujan abu melebihi batas aman bencana, yakni 10 kilometer. Bahkan, masyarakat yang berada lebih dari 20 kilometer hingga kini juga mengalami hujan abu.

Satu Bayi Tewas
Seorang bayi berusia 3 bulan meninggal karena mengalami sesak napas akibat debu vulkanik letusan Gunung Merapi di Yogyakarta.

Demikian dikatakan Kepala IRD RSUD Muntilan, Sasongko, kepada wartawan di bangsal IRD, Selasa (26/10/2010). Menurut Sasongko, hingga kini pihaknya merawat sekitar 10 pasien yang mengalami sesak napas.

Dari 10 pasien itu, sembilan pasien mengalami sesak napas dan tiga di antaranya telah ditangani dengan pernapasan buatan. "Satu orang bayi sesak napas terlalu berat sehinga tidak bisa tertolong meski kami sudah berupaya maksimal. Bayi itu berusia 3 bulan," kata Sasongko.

Menurut Sasongko, bayi itu meninggal dalam perjalanan ke RS Muntilan sehingga tidak bisa tertolong lagi.

Desa Ngipik Sari Diselimuti Debu
Hujan abu terus mengguyur kawasan lereng Gunung Merapi. Sementara itu, ribuan warga lereng Merapi sedang dievakuasi.

Suara sirine pun bersahut-sahutan menandakan bahwa Gunung Merapi dalam kondisi meletus, Selasa (26/10/2010). Bau belerang sangat pekat tercium di lokasi yang berjarak belasan kilometer dari puncak Merapi.
Dari pantauan Tribunnews di lokasi lereng bagian selatan, suara sirine terus dibunyikan. Para petugas, baik itu dari kepolisian, Satpol PP, maupun pemda setempat terus melakukan evakuasi warga. Jalan Kaliurang pun menjadi macet karena proses evakuasi terus berlangsung.

Di lokasi aman yang berjarak 15 kilometer dari puncak Merapi, abu Gunung Merapi terus mengguyur warga. Bahkan, Desa Ngipiksari menjadi lautan abu.

Hingga berita ini diturunkan, evakuasi terhadap warga terus dilakukan. Mereka berkumpul di barak Desa Umbulharo.
Terlihat, ada tiga korban yang dievakuasi ke rumah sakit terdekat. 
Meletus 4 Kali
Setelah dinyatakan berstatus "Awas" sejak Senin kemarin, Gunung Merapi akhirnya memulai fase erupsi, Selasa (26/10/2010) sore. Luncuran awan panas atau yang biasa disebut wedhus gembel, terjadi hingga empat kali.

Data dari Balai Penyelidikan dan Pengembangan Teknologi Kegunungapian (BPPTK), menyebutkan awan panas pertama terjadi pada pukul 17.02 dan lebih mengarah ke barat.

Luncuran kedua terjadi pada pukul 17.19, 17.24, dan 17.34. Namun, pantauan luncuran-luncuran berikut itu tidak bisa terpantau karena terhalang kabut tebal dan diduga tersebar ke segala arah. Hingga pukul 18.33, awan panas terus meluncur dan alat seismograf di kantor BPPTK masih terus mencatat pergerakan awan panas.

BPPTK pun memerintahkan seluruh petugas di lima pos pemantau gunung Merapi untuk turun dan mengevakuasi diri pada pukul 18.05. Pada saat bersamaan, terdengar 3 kali letusan besar dari pos Jrakah dan Selo di Magelang.

Warga Merintih Terkena Awan Panas
Semburan awan panas yang keluar dari mulut Gunung Merapi, Selasa (26/10/2010), mulai menimpa warga sekitar. Seorang warga Desa Kinahrejo, Kecamatan Cangkringan, Yogyakarta, terkena awan panas hingga mengakibatkan sekujur tubuhnya melepuh. Warga tersebut langsung dilarikan tim evakuasi ke rumah sakit.Situasi di sejumlah daerah yang berada di lereng Merapi sedikit mencekam menyusul keluarnya awan panas dari mulut Gunung Merapi. Menghindari kemungkinan terjadinya letusan dari gunung tersebut, semua warga yang berada di empat desa di lereng Gunung Merapi dievakuasi.

"Evakuasi besar-besaran saat ini sedang berlangsung, mengingat Merapi mulai menyemburkan awan panasnya," ujar seorang anggota tim relawan.

Warga yang terkena awan panas tadi hanya bisa merintih kesakitan karena merasa tak tahan dengan semburan awan tersebut. Sekujur tubuhnya mulai dari tangan, kaki, dan wajahnya tampak melepuh akibat panas yang mendera.

Ibu tersebut berlari sambil berteriak-teriak tak kuasa menahan perih di tubuhnya. Tim evakusi yang berada di lokasi langsung membawa ibu tersebut ke rumah sakit.

Korban Awan Panas Dibawa Ke Rumah Sakit
Dua korban awan panas Gunung Merapi yang merupakan warga Desa Kinarejo, Kecamatan Cangkringan, Kabupaten Sleman, DIY, Selasa (26/10/2010) malam, sudah berada di RS Panti Nugroho, Pakem.Identitas dua wanita yang mengalami luka bakar cukup parah itu belum diketahui.

"Tetapi yang satu sudah usia lanjut, sedangkan satunya lagi usianya sekitar 35 tahun," kata salah seorang relawan yang keberatan disebut namanya, di Posko Utama Penanggulangan Bencana Gunung Merapi di Pakem, Sleman.

Luka bakar yang dialami kedua korban tersebut cukup parah. "Hampir sekujur tubuhnya melepuh karena terkena awan panas," kata relawan itu.

Sebagian wilayah Desa Kinarejo nyaris luluh lantak diterjang awan panas Merapi. "Belum bisa dipastikan, apakah semua warga desa itu sudah mengungsi, atau masih ada yang bertahan di rumah masing-masing," katanya.

Oleh karena itu, tim SAR, tim Taruna Siaga Bencana (Tagana), dan sejumlah personel TNI mulai naik ke atas, yaitu ke kawasan rawan bencana III (KRB III) Merapi untuk melakukan evakuasi warga yang masih bertahan atau belum mengungsi.

Surono selaku Kepala Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) Badan Geologi, Selasa malam, di Yogyakarta, mengatakan, Gunung Merapi (2.965 mdpl) sudah masuk ke fase erupsi.
Arah penurunan awan panas dari puncak Gunung Merapi yang terjadi pada Selasa petang belum diketahui secara pasti karena petugas Pos Pengamatan Gunung Merapi tidak bisa melihat karena gunung tertutup kabut.

Informasi dari Posko Utama Penanggulangan Bencana Gunung Merapi di Pakem, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), menunjukkan bahwa luncuran awan panas pertama terjadi sekitar pukul 17.02 WIB, kedua pada pukul 17.19, ketiga pukul 17.24, dan keempat pukul 17.34 WIB.

Jarak luncur kedua awan panas itu belum bisa diketahui karena petugas di sejumlah Pos Pengamatan Gunung Merapi (Pos PGM) kesulitan untuk melihat secara visual akibat gunung berapi ini tertutup kabut.

Petugas Pos PGM Kaliurang, Triono, mengatakan bahwa pihaknya tidak dapat melihat Merapi karena alasan tersebut.

"Terima kasih atas informasinya. Kami di sini tidak dapat melihat. Mungkin benar itu adalah awan panas atau wedus gembel," katanya.
