Banjir Datang Dimana Foke?

Jadi cepat marah," Azyumardi mengingatkan.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Floods inundate the streets of Jakarta last night, causing a huge traffic jam. Jakarta was not made progress over the past four years.

"Alarming Jakarta, Jakarta does not move the last four years," said Director of Graduate State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah, Azyumardi Azra, when asked about the flooding overnight, in Jakarta on Tuesday (26/10).

According Azyumardi, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Fauzi Bowo aka Foke, currently do not dare to take a break. Fauzi considered too legalistic (spiked in the rules) in solving problems of Jakarta.

"Follow the rules is okay but still have to take a breakthrough," said Azyumardi. In the previous leadership, many breakthroughs are taken. Although initially considered controversial, such as fencing Monas and busway. But in the end all to enjoy its benefits.

However, with the leadership of Jakarta today, yet there is a bold step to address the problem of flooding and congestion. The slogan that carried on to run for, 'Leave Jakarta The Expert', they are not showing results. "Not proven, we are still waiting," said Azyumardi.

If it's just always follow the legal framework, without a breakthrough, Jakarta will remain like this. Even in the years ahead will be many more public facilities that quality is declining. For having to wait to be able to fix the bureaucratic process. "If the damaged facility will also damaged its human quality. So quick to anger," Azyumardi warned.
